Telehealth is a service, located at many Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health facilities, that uses facility-based video conferencing equipment (and resources) to connect patients and health care providers. This technology allows a patient to see, hear and talk with their health care provider without having to meet in-person. Resource support includes site support personnel, equipment, space and Wi-Fi or data.
To find a Nova Scotia Health facility where this service is available, check out the map. Some NS First Nations locations offer this service as well.
If you are a new telehealth client and want to learn more, contact virtualcare@nshealth.ca.
If you are an existing telehealth client, submit requests through iScheduler to schedule a patient appointment. A provincial telehealth scheduler will receive your request, organize the appointment and send you a confirmation email. To use iScheduler, you must have an approved account and training.
