Caregivers Nova Scotia
Caregivers Nova Scotia (CNS) is a non-profit organization focused on empowering caregivers, assisting them in navigating the health care and other government systems, and connecting them to supports in the community.
CNS also provides one-on-one support via phone and email, caregiver support groups, focused educational pieces and advocacy. CNS participates in community, provincial, federal and international research on how to best support and recognize caregivers and the invaluable contribution they make to both their care receivers, as well as our society in general.
CNS often meets caregivers in crisis who had wished they had heard of the organization months and sometimes years before. Nova Scotia Health wants to help raise awareness of the great work they do and the support they can provide to those caring for others.
