Implementation Schedule
One Person One Record (OPOR) is a transformation for the healthcare system in Nova Scotia, impacting how we deliver care to patients. This includes the implementation of a provincial clinical information system (OPOR-CIS). This is a single provincial implementation shared by all health facilities and requires participation from all sites and zones. Leading up to implementation, Subject Matter Experts from across the province were also involved in design and build phases of the new processes, workflows, and systems. The implementation of the OPOR-CIS will also include several Novari applications.
OPOR Implementation Timeline:
Wave One: IWK Health implemented the OPOR-CIS, and Nova Scotia Health implemented the Novari Medical Imaging Requisition Management (MIRM) solution, on December 6, 2025.
Wave Two: Nova Scotia Health will implement the OPOR-CIS across Central Zone on May 9, 2026. All physicians, providers, clinicians, and employees will use a single, standardized system across all Central Zone sites.
Stay tuned for implementation dates for the remaining Waves!
