SUMMARY:Heart Failure Guidelines Update: Cases and Practical Application
DESCRIPTION:Nova Scotia Health and Doctors Nova Scotia are pleased to annou
 nce the launch of the Quality Improvement (QI) Rounds by physicians for ph
 ysicians. The topics for the upcoming seminars will include:\n\n\nSepsis\n
 Acute Exacerbations of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease\nHeart Failur
 e\nPneumonia\nLevels of Intervention\nUrinary Tract Infection\n\n\nThe ses
 sions are targeted towards all physicians who provide inpatient and Emerge
 ncy Department care. Each session will run for an hour followed by 30 minu
 tes of questions and discussion. All sessions will be recorded and availab
 le for download on the Doctors Nova Scotia portal.\n\nHeart Failure Guidel
 ines Update: Cases and Practical Application\n\nDr. Andrew Moeller\, Cardi
 ologist\, will provide a presentation covering the updated heart failure g
 uidelines and treating inpatients.\n\nObjectives of this presentation incl
 ude:\n\n\nThe updated Canadian Cardiovascular Society Guidelines.\nPrescri
 bing sacubitril-valsartan for inpatients with heart failure.\nPrescribing 
 SGLT2i for inpatients with heart failure.\n\n\nEarn 1.5 CME Credits\n\nThi
 s one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification crite
 ria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified b
 y the Continuing Professional Development Office of Dalhousie University f
 or up to 1.5 Mainpro+ credits.\n\nThis event is an Accredited Group Learni
 ng Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Pro
 gram of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada\, and appro
 ved by Continuing Professional Development\, Dalhousie University. You may
