DESCRIPTION:Grief Foundations is a one-hour virtual grief education webinar
  offered by the Grief Practice Support Program for Nova Scotia Health staf

  participants recognize and respond to loss\, normalize and de-pathologize
  grief\, and learn how to access valuable resources for Nova Scotia Health

 vement Practice Lead\, Nova Scotia Health Matthew Fillier (he/him) is the 
 Grief and Bereavement Practice Lead for the Provincial Palliative Care Net
 work at Nova Scotia Health. Matthew and his team are working to build a Gr
 ief Practice Support Program for NSH health care providers and volunteers 
 as they care for grievers and themselves. Matthew’s work extends beyond 
 the palliative care setting\, including everywhere grief shows up across t
 he health system. The Grief Practice Support Program is aimed at helping t
 he health workforce enhance their knowledge\, skills and confidence in gri
 ef care. Before starting this role\, Matthew spent 16 years as an ordained
  minister in the United Church of Canada\, serving congregations across No
 va Scotia. He also served as the regional leader of its maritime region co
 ngregations and in Bermuda.
