DESCRIPTION:On behalf of Medical Affairs\, you are invited to our Doctors
 ’ Day 2025 event on May 1 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Innovation Hub 
 (1625 Grafton Street\, Halifax\, NS B3J 1J6) or virtually via Microsoft Te
 ams. Join us as we celebrate and honor the contributions of doctors within
  Nova Scotia Health.\n\nPlease see the attached welcome guide for location
  and parking details.\n\nAbout Our Keynote Speaker: Dr. Tina Atkinson\n\nD
 r. Tina Atkinson is a sport and exercise medicine physician based in Dartm
 outh\, Nova Scotia. She has 24 years of experience serving as a lead physi
 cian or Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for more than 20 national and internat
 ional events.\n\nShe is currently the Chief Medical Officer of the Canadia
 n Sports Institute Atlantic and Canoe Kayak Canada\, recently supporting t
 hem at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Dr. Atkinson was also the primar
 y care sports medicine team physician for the Halifax Mooseheads for 13 se
 asons.\n\nSince 2016\, she has been a team physician for Hockey Canada’s
  Women’s Teams\, including serving as the Olympic team doctor in Beijing
  2022\, where the team won gold. In 2023\, she was named the first Chief M
 edical Officer of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL)\, overse
 eing medical protocols and healthcare providers for all six teams.\n\nDr. 
 Atkinson’s keynote will address the following:\n\nGoing for Gold:\n\n\nL
 eadership is not a title\; everyone on a team leads and contributes.\nQuie
 t the ego – you have to be positive and bring a positive attitude to ove
 rcome adversity and propel to success (in this case\, Dr. Atkinson will sp
 eak to the hockey team win).\nTina will speak to her experience of how the
  positive mindset of each team member propelled them to success and winnin
 g – not always the most senior members of the team leading the pack– d
