Recorded session dated February 21, 2024, aimed at enhancing the understanding of diabetes and its management among nurses and healthcare professionals, in order to best support patients and families living with and affected by diabetes. Presented by Ciara Stevens, RN, CDE, and Jess Pearson, RN, (c) CCHN, CDE.

- Glucose monitoring patterns and tips

After a Type 2 Diabetes Diagnosis (video)
April 28, 2023, recording from the Diabetes Canada | Diabetes Frontline Forum aimed at focusing upon what happens after a person is diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Presented by Ciara Stevens, RN, CDE.
This session is approximately 35 minutes and covers the following objectives:
- Increased understanding of the transition points within care.
- Understand the importance of addressing and acknowledging the stigma, shame, diabetes distress, and sense of fatalism that a person living with type 2 diabetes may experience.
- Leave session with practical pearls to set people with diabetes up for success after a type 2 diagnosis.
