Dr. Paul Morrison is the Head of Internal Medicine Department at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Dr. Morrison obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at Saint Francis Xavier University and Master of Science in Kinesiology and Physical Education from McGill University. In 2011, Dr. Morrison completed his Doctorate in Medicine and residency in General Internal Medicine at Dalhousie University in 2014. He completed a second residency in Adult Cardiology at McGill University and Dalhousie University in 2017. During his two residencies, Dr. Morrison was a Fellow in Internal Medicine (2015) and Fellow in Adult Cardiology (2017) at the Royal College of Physicians Canada.
Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Morrison was an exercise physiologist in Montreal, Quebec and a personal trainer in London, England. Dr. Morrison has been a clinical cardiologist at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital since November 2017. He has also been the Director of the Cape Breton Cardiac Rehabilitation Program since November 2019.
In his spare time, Dr. Morrison enjoys participating in a variety of sports, including hockey, golf, tennis, softball, skiing, running, and cycling. He also enjoys playing the guitar and was previously a second tenor in the Dalhousie Medical School Chorale.
