Dr. Sean Orrell is the Eastern Zone Department Chief of Anesthesia at Nova Scotia Health. He was born in North Sydney and has lived in Nova Scotia for most of his life. Dr. Orrell attended Dalhousie University for his undergraduate studies, medical school, and residency training in anesthesia.
He enjoys practicing anesthesia as it gives him a chance to perform technical skills within his medical practice. Dr. Orrell is passionate about teaching, and he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesia, Pain Management & Perioperative Medicine at Dalhousie University.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing piano and enjoys any physical activity like running, swimming and CrossFit, which he tries to do at least 5 times a week.
