Dr. Arsalan Raza is the Head of Diagnostic Imaging in the Eastern Zone, and Chief Radiologist in Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Raza initially pursued his medical education in Pakistan before completing radiology training at St. George’s University Hospital in London, UK. He then completed a Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging from the University of Toronto, working at University Health Network, Princess Margaret, and Mount Sinai Hospitals.
During his fellowship, Dr. Raza pursued a job opportunity in Sydney, Cape Breton. His initial visit led him to choose the province and the region due to its enhanced quality of life and opportunities for collaborative work for the betterment of the community.
Outside of work, he enjoys learning new languages, reading, swimming, gardening, and volunteering to help his community.
