Physician Preparedness - Measles
As part of organizational measles preparation and planning Occupational Health Safety & Wellness (OHSW) is in the process reviewing immunization status of team members and physicians working in high-risk areas and departments. Physicians should be aware of their immunization status, and ensure it is reported to OHSW so that susceptibility in the event of an exposure can be quickly ascertained. A memo providing direction can be found on the ERIN HUB at the following link.
The use of a FIT tested N95 respirator is required for suspect and confirmed measles cases. Physician should ensure they have been FIT tested in the past two years and are aware of the make and model of their FIT tested respirator. FIT testing can be booked through Occupational Health Safety & Wellness via the following LINK.
