Healthy Pictou County is expanding its existing 360° Virtual Reality Hub with a new space that gives an inside look at the Simulation Lab at the Aberdeen Hospital.
The Simulation Lab is a dedicated learning space where healthcare professionals and medical learners can practice real-life scenarios in a safe, controlled environment using state-of-the-art equipment and human patient simulators.
The immersive 360° experience offers a glimpse inside the lab, demonstrating the continuous learning and collaboration available for both learners and experienced professionals in the Northern Zone.
“This is such a cool and vital learning tool in our hospital,” said Nicole LeBlanc, project navigator for Healthy Pictou County. “We’re so thrilled…to help showcase the team, the space, the sophistication of the equipment and how it’s used to improve patient care, for people at any stage of their career,” she says.
This new space is possible thanks to investments from Nova Scotia Health and the Aberdeen Health Foundation.
