Dr. Mary-Lynn Watson has been appointed as the interim Medical Site Lead for the QEII

Dr. Mary-Lynn Watson has been appointed as the interim Medical Site Lead for the QEII effective immediately.

Mary-Lynn is an Emergency Physician, graduating from Dalhousie University with her MD. Since then she has achieved her CCFP, CCFP(EM), certification from Harvard Medical School Postgraduate Medical Education, Safety, Quality, Informatics and Leadership, and an MBA Essentials Certificate from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is currently taking her certification in Health Economics and Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science which she expects to complete in May of 2022.

Mary-Lynn started out working in both Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine, until she dedicated her career to Emergency Medicine in 1999. She is the Executive Director for the Metro Emergency Medicine Association, QEIIHSC, the Medical Director of Quality and Safety for the QEII Emergency Department and an online Medical Control Physician for Emergency Health Services. Mary-Lynn consults at Cobequid Community Healthcare Centre. She is also Past President of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians as well as a former board member of the International Federation of Emergency Physicians.

Dr. Watson will assume this interim role while Dr. Simon Jackson is the interim Executive Medical Director for the Central Zone.
