Doctors Nova Scotia Virtual Billing Education Sessions

Doctors Nova Scotia is pleased to offer virtual billing education sessions to help family physicians bill more effectively and avoid poor audit outcomes. These sessions aim to help physicians understand the billing context in Nova Scotia, the MSI Physician’s Manual Preamble and billing rules. Billing basics instruction will include the importance of billing correctly, how to use the billing manual, Preamble and MSI bulletins, and understanding the medical service unit. Then we’ll dive into family physician–specific billing by reviewing the most common billing codes and incentive programs, fee changes and the Master Agreement.

There are three sessions to choose from. The session offered on Tuesday evenings is in two parts; participants must register for both parts of the session to qualify for CPD credits. Sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Click to register: Tuesday, March 22 and 29, 6 – 8 p.m. (part 1) and (part 2) – must register for both evenings

Registration will be capped at 20 participants per session to allow for fulsome discussion and interaction in a virtual format.

This one-credit-per-hour group learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the CPD Office of Dalhousie University for up to 2.75 Mainpro+ credits per session.
