PARTICIPANT COST: $150 Physicians, $100 Allied Health, $25 Students
This Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Nova Scotia Chapter for up to 8 Mainpro+ credits.
This interactive in-person workshop will aim to provide tools and resources for physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, medical residents, students, & other allied health professionals for office-based management of Alcohol Use Disorder & Benzodiazepine Use.
Workshop Objectives:
- Apply a chronic disease management framework to people living with substance use disorder
- Form a healthy partnership with people living with a substance use disorder
- Come to enjoy working with people living with substance use disorder
It is our hope that through the workshop we can affect the health of patients by reducing the harms associated with alcohol and benzodiazepine use.
